We welcomed the new millennium with the face of a small town that improves continuously, with many projects either finished or having begun, and with our most primary problems heading toward a solution.

The past seven years we worked hard, methodically, and with decisiveness to materialize the promise we made to the inhabitants, a promise of turning Trachoni into a more humane, contemporary town.

The most important weapon in our effort is teamwork and the cooperation between the various departments combined with the help and understanding of the inhabitants. In an intensely partisan society and with various opposing financial interests fighting each other, we succeeded in placing only the interest of our community at the epicenter. This is the reality that we must preserve and any attempt to overturn it ought to find every reasonable human being against it.

Our course of progress must be protected and we are all responsible for this. The hard work must continue. This is the promise that we make for the future. From the inhabitants of our community what we ask for is greater participation. We provide opportunities for such participation through various events and activities, organized groups having become an institution.
